About Daly Smith

Daly Smith is an architect residing in Macon, Georgia. He approaches his artwork much as he does his architecture – striving to create design that is both beautiful and simple by identifying and emphasizing the key elements. His ability to pare down the essentials of a scene is one of the hallmarks of his style.

Growing up in Macon, Georgia, Daly loved to draw and his interest let him to Georgia Tech where he earned a degree in Architecture. After college he returned to Macon where he is the owner of his own architectural firm.

In 1991 he resumed his love of art. Enrolling at the Wesleyan Center for the Arts, he studied with local artist Marianne Dunn for several years and has been painting ever since.

Daly has won numerous awards for his art and his work hangs in collections throughout the Southeast. In Georgia he is represented by Ocmulgee Arts in Macon, Magnolia Gallery in Oconee, Left Bank Art Gallery in St. Simons and Friedman's Art Gallery in Savannah. In North Carolina he is represented by The Summer House in Highlands.
